This is a very nice and soft comforter which I hope will make a good mattress pad and topper for my king size bed. I love the "calm" colors (which complement my duvet cover) and the softness of this duvet. I'm sure my two cats will love this blanket too and hopefully they won't let down my light gold quilted bedspread which matches the colors of this blanket. Update a few months later: I LOVE this comforter! And my two cats too! Best of all, the blanket doesn't hold back the cat's hair so I don't have to clean it as they sleep on it almost every day (one of which is a Maine Coon with lots of wool/fur). This duvet is also washable. In short, I highly recommend this beautiful blanket! It's been almost two years now: I've just bought two more of these wonderful comforters for my twin king bed as two twins work so much better than a king bed that is too narrow. As usual, these are excellent quality duvets that wash very well (very little fluff even after the first wash). Now I use these blankets as "real" blankets. The original duvets (I actually had two of them!) are sewn together and are now being used as a bedspread/bedspread for our new (adjustable) bunk bed last year. They work great and are still very soft and they still shed cat fur (they are the same two cats as two years ago). YES, I can only recommend these blankets!
