Haha see my first review from this morning below. I leave this to be ashamed. I installed this right after installing a good video head unit. The last thing I did after all the work was replacing the antenna mast. Immediately the reception was terrible. But it turned out to be my fault - I had a bad connection of the factory antenna cable to the main unit, so contact was intermittent. It took me a while to understand that. I fixed it today and drove across the country for a few hours listening to a basketball game. This antenna worked perfectly and was advertised as "equal if not better" than the original. Excellent antenna. My initial review: I was trying to replace an old whip antenna on my '99 Miata. Looks great! But the reception is disgusting. I live a few miles from a WUNC 91.5 FM 100,000 watt broadcast antenna. I can almost hear the signal through the fillings in my teeth. The signal is so strong and there are so few stations on the same frequency that I can get a station in my car from a North Carolina beach (100 miles east of my home) to the Appalachian foothills (100 miles west of my tube). can ) and far north to Virginia (75 miles north of my house). Or, well, I could before I "updated" my antenna with this sexy mush. Now, in my driveway just a few miles from the tower, I get a lot of static at 91.5 feet. If I drive just a few miles from the tower I get a lot of noise and no discernible signal. I unscrewed this block and reinstalled the old whip antenna and the signal was crystal clear. Be sure to buy for the looks - looks great! But don't bother plugging it into your car stereo as it's pretty much pointless considering its terrible performance. Now. I wonder if "MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!" will work.
