I had swelling in my lower legs due to blood pressure medication which made it difficult to walk without severe and burning pain. Bought a scooter hoping it would help and it did. I could move a lot faster than walking pace, but when walking the halls of the university I stick to standard walking pace or a little higher. However, one punch lets me slide for a long time, which reduces the number of movements/steps with my legs and relieves me of pain. The rear brake works well. As others have said, DO NOT take it on a wet or even damp surface - the wheels will come out from under you. It happened while I was walking, not driving, but the whole thing slid sideways when it hit a tiny patch of wet ground. Was able to use it straight away, checked all grommets and they were all tight. The folding mechanism was tight the first dozen times it was used, but now it's loose and works well. Recommended for anyone suffering from foot pain.
