so far so good. I'm an adult, 5ft 4in tall. We bought this for our daughter as she needed a new scooter as she has pretty much outgrown her old razor (pink in the photo). The handle height at full extension is 2 inches higher than the original razor as suggested when ordering, so the old razor is 32 inches and this one is 36 inches but perfect. I used it full length myself when I tested it and it will probably grow to the last inch I suspect. The footrest is slightly wider but perfect for her…

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • boring packaging

Sturdy construction and large wheels ensure a comfortable ride!

This A5 razor is exactly as described. Most online videos show teenagers or teenagers using it. However, I bought it for my 4 year old. There are many height settings for her to use. In fact she loves it. and her seven-year-old sister also loves him very much. The build quality is solid. Aluminum welds cleanly and evenly. High quality anodizing. The grip tape on the deck seems durable. Stability seems to improve with the larger wheels and this scooter is more tolerant of small obstacles. Large…

this one makes three

We just added another scooter to our family. My four year old rides a tricycle and I have an e Prime Air shaver. When we bought it for my wife we wanted it to be light and springy. My electric car has a heavy battery, so it ruled out using electricity. My air tires, while softer, don't roll as well and I constantly get flat tires because of the goat's head spikes in the area. So that also ruled out pneumatic tires. She chose the tried and true Razor Scooter. Basically, he was ready to walk out…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

  • Bad instructions

Too funny Adult opinion

What do I not like? I paid 67 last week, now it's LESS. But I have to say it's worth the money. I'm 52 years old, 5'10" and the last time I rode a Razor Brand scooter was Harry Potter at the cinema and I was 'old' for scooters at the time. And I was in a very bad accident because the Brake didn't quite support my weight. Rest assured. I didn't hit the 220 lb mark and the brake works on this one, but not by a penny. Plan ahead. Huge wheels handle cracks and bumps easily. Pavement. Yes, rough…

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons

Thin, two fell apart quickly

Obviously the build quality has come down significantly from the 15 year old razors we still have that have been reliable for years. With strong reviews and a well known brand I assumed they would hold up well. Two A5s started falling apart after moderate use. The new one I got a month ago only had black plastic with a rubber strap to hold the steering wheel in place when I dropped it walking to my garage. The scooter has been used half a dozen times for a one way trip. The previous A5 didn't…

Pros
  • Extra large urethane wheels make for a super light and comfortable ride

Great mobility aid.

I had swelling in my lower legs due to blood pressure medication which made it difficult to walk without severe and burning pain. Bought a scooter hoping it would help and it did. I could move a lot faster than walking pace, but when walking the halls of the university I stick to standard walking pace or a little higher. However, one punch lets me slide for a long time, which reduces the number of movements/steps with my legs and relieves me of pain. The rear brake works well. As others have…

Pros
  • Anodized finish with bright colors and bold graphics

Great scooter for a college campus! Great Value!

I was looking for a lightweight scooter for my son to use on campus. Check out all reviews of some other brands like Xootr, Exooter, Oxelo etc. But they were either too expensive (over $200) or too heavy (over 10 pounds). The A5 weighs less than 9 pounds and is only $80. I looked at the Razor A6 first as I liked the slightly larger wheels. But then I noticed a flaw in the foldable design, which some readers reported caused their handlebars to fold in mid-ride (this happens when you don't…
