Yes, it's a small bag --- that's the point! I use it as a school bag and it helps keep things tidy. I use the top exterior pocket for my TI-83 calculator and iClicker and the bottom exterior pocket for pens, pencils, markers, markers, diary and flashlight (with enough room).
