Review on Maxpedition 5001 Typhoon Backpack in Black by Dana Wood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small and delicate

Yes, it's a small bag --- that's the point! I use it as a school bag and it helps keep things tidy. I use the top exterior pocket for my TI-83 calculator and iClicker and the bottom exterior pocket for pens, pencils, markers, markers, diary and flashlight (with enough room). On the right side (as you can see in the picture) I use the top pouch for my SOG multi tool and the bottom pouch for the elastic and liners --- and the left one connects to a Maxpedition Gear 1-QT Canteen Pouch . with dining room. Otherwise, the main compartment is large enough for three 1-inch exercise binders. All in all this is a fantastic bag for me. The bag is shorter and thinner than the stereotypical school bag (the clasps still fit), with an outer V-strap and bottom straps that keep the weight secure and close to the body for easy movement without banging and unloading everything inside jumps (straps for arms and back). also convenient). Also the 4 outside pockets are a real asset for organization as they are basically stationary versions of the Maxpedition pockets which you can buy separately. Not to mention that the build quality is the best I've seen from any brand (you must have figured that out by now if you've read a few Maxpediton reviews) - stitching, materials, waterproofing (yes, it's too 99% waterproof). during a hurricane, I checked) etc. Finally, if you're worried that people will point fingers and laugh because the bag is smaller than usual, don't worry. To be honest I got accessories for this bag and people have asked where I got it from and I was never told it looked like a preschooler. So buy a bag if you're interested, and if it's not for you, just send it back --- but I don't think you'll send it back if you're looking for the same bag as me.
