Bad quality: In-ear headphones

Pros: This was my first experience with wireless Bluetooth headphones, so I didn't know what to expect. I was looking for a pair to use mainly during my workout. So I needed them strong enough to withstand when they fall into my gym bag and sweat. Lots of sweat. I did quite a bit of research and decided on them based on the reviews and my preferences. First impression, they were well packaged and looked high quality. They were no less comfortable than my wired headphones. I swapped out the included ear tips for one of the smaller pairs but otherwise found they fit my ears well. The strap that goes around the neck was thicker than some of the headphones I've looked at that look more like a cord, but it felt nice. The control buttons were also solid and easy to use even during a workout (easier than fiddling with my iPod). In general, the sound quality must be excellent (a caveat is listed below). I thought the bass was clear and I could keep the volume down without sacrificing the sound. Pairing was incredibly easy, even with my slightly older iPod model and even for those who are struggling with the technology. The instructions were clear and it connected easily on the first try. Cons: I noticed even at the beginning that the audio would sometimes cut out and there would be moments of hissing. It didn't bother me at first as it was limited to a second or two. However, it occurred more frequently, to the point where the audio began to stutter as the song dropped out. Really bad part? The headphones died after two weeks. I used them once and although they were about 75% charged they stopped working mid workout. I went to check if the battery level was the problem (despite the icon showing it was mostly charged) and then found that they weren't charging anymore. Although I was able to turn the device back on, they are not charging now so it will only be a matter of time before they become unusable. Unfortunately I will ask for a refund and look for a better pair. I wanted them to please and last - for the price they were great in many ways - but not if they don't work reliably for more than 2 weeks.
