The material seems to be quite high quality although I don't care because it's plastic on the inside and doesn't breathe at all. Even in a cool house, your dog will quickly overheat. I like that there is a valve that allows airflow and creates a cool environment, but that seems at odds with the suggestion of making it plastic/waterproof as it looks like water is simply getting into the valve . I bought this in a rush of time and like other reviews, it does NOT fit in the cage it was made for - it's too small to zip up the side. I also had to cut a strip of fabric at the bottom of the door because it's too small. The flap closes well thanks to the zipper on each side. However, I would not recommend this product. It doesn't breathe and doesn't fit. Spend a little more money and buy a better product
