I bought it to use with the Audio-Technica ATH-M40FS. however, adds significant weight to the socket entry. If you have a device where the bushing isn't installed well, seems loose, or could snap if you put too much pressure on it, I'd go for a lighter weight extension. Otherwise it works fine but for the mic I used it pushed the jack too hard, I found a lighter one in my desk drawer and used this one instead. It was too hard. You also have to take into account that it adds some length to the fork, and it's not just the weight of that extension, it's the extension PLUS the weight of what what you use it for, in my case a studio headset.
