Review on 📸 eRapta ER0202: Advanced Split Screen Backup Camera System with Monitor for RV Truck Trailer Tractor 5th Wheel - Rear and Side Wired Cameras, 4 Channels by Mike Modesto

Update 10/25/16: I got a new monitor from eRapta yesterday and was able to test it today. With the new monitor, the image from all 4 cameras is stable and has good color reproduction. eRapta has worked hard to ensure I am happy with their product and for that I am grateful. I can now see near and far from the back of my 30ft trailer using one camera to look straight ahead and another to look behind the trailer. I can pull right up to the trailer parked behind mine in the warehouse and be sure I won't bump into anything. Two side cameras are built right into the front of the trailer on each side, so when reversing I can see the back of the trailer from the blind side. I can also use the cameras as rearview mirrors when traveling to keep an eye on what's happening behind me. I connected 4 camera wires to the power cord on the trailer tongue and then used a 30ft 13 pin cable to run it through my truck and connect it to the dash monitor. I have to connect every time I plug in the pendant. Thank you eRapta for staying with me and making this system work. My previous problems seem to have been caused by a bad monitor that eRapta replaced with a slightly different one. Everything works great now. Great eRapta service! And a big thank you to Selina! Original post. After installing a 4-camera system, the monitor flickers on and off, and the colors also flicker, mostly only black and white. Wrote to toerapta@hotmail.com for support and got a permanent crash. I followed the limited installation instructions for my new trailer. It took hours to run all the cables and drill a few holes. Returning a product is a daunting prospect, but it may be my only course of action. Very disappointed. UPDATE 10/17/16: Selena from eRapta worked with me to solve my problems. In order to have cameras on my trailer and a monitor on my truck's dashboard, I had to install a 30 foot 13 pin extension cord. When I connect the monitor directly to the "power cord" on the trailer, the monitor on/off flickering seems to go away, but the color still flickers. eRapta ships a new monitor to fix the problem. Selina suggested I plug the monitor into the truck's outlet, although they don't have adapters for that. I will update this review with results on how it works. I raised my rating from 1 star to 3 because eRapta is working on a fix and my app may not work with the system. I get mostly black and white on any camera I can live with, but the on/off flicker is so annoying I just turn the system off. I really hope this works well.
