I bought this USB 2.0 hub for use with flight simulator peripherals that I install in a fixed location. I currently have a steering wheel (honeycomb), rudder pedals, throttle (both Logitech), mouse and keyboard all hooked up to this hub and it all works great. Why pay for a 3.0 hub when all flight simulator peripherals have 2.0 ports? Also, having 13 ports is perfect for me to connect more flight peripherals when I buy them. The hub has two different sides, each controlled by a small button on the top, so you can only turn on and operate half of them. if you don't have 13 connected devices. The blue lights are very bright and stay on even after the computer is turned off, so having buttons to turn off the lights (and peripherals) is a bonus. It has an AC adapter (which I wanted for my needs) so be aware that you need to be close to an outlet and your computer. Another thing to note is that the USB connection cable that you connect to the computer is very short (only 12 inches). It doesn't even reach from the back of my PC to the desk on the side of my PC, so I bought a 10 ft "RevainBasics USB 2.0 Extension Cable" to fix this problem. All in all, this is a great Hub 2.0. I highly recommend it if you need a lot of USB 2.0 ports.
