We live in a heavily wooded area and our house is kind of dark. Previously had a "lodgy" looking rug with darker colors. We put down white-washed flooring and I wanted something to brighten up the kitchen more. It did the trick! I only wish I had known more about purchasing rugs sight unseen. It is a little thinner than I would have liked but I used peel and stick rug holders for the rolling up corners. Seems to be working so far. The rug just may need to "relax" a little also. I have also ordered the 2' x 3' matching throw rug. They really add a more modern, colorful vibe to the room!
