He is a self proclaimed carb lover and is quite a bit overweight in the waist. While he has no problem dressing (waist) a medium size 10 (but not in length), this pair fits him perfectly from waist to hem. For others, it may be loose for a typical 8-year-old and too short for a 10-year-old. I also love that it doesn't wrinkle or get dirty (amazing because it's white!)
