I won't travel with it - just make sure I put it first. I bought this because I need a laptop stand for my very high desk to get my screen at eye level. I have AV experience so I was familiar with this type of stand - I chose it over the similar Pyle model because my experience with Pyle was random. It's awesome! very durable, good build quality and the dimensions and configurations are amazing. The beautiful closed cell foam packaging, no EPS, makes it easy to include in your tech kit or any other flight case. The thick steel convinced me that this was definitely a viable part of the kit. My only reviews on this are: - One of the width extenders had very poor threads when assembled. I was able to get through it, but it was a bit painful and bordering on coming back. Either sprayed with paint or didn't remove the burrs. You will receive a set of small non-slip foam stickers. one. So either use it on the bottom "feet" or place them where the laptop sits if you don't have rubber feet where the supports lie. but only one or the other. I ended up using the stock adhesive-backed foam for the speaker grille surround and it works great. Just make sure the bottom of your laptop is smooth.
