I bought this hot shoe grip for my 5D because I'm used to shooting with the C100 and I liked holding the camera from the top rather than the side. I also have problems with my hands and the grip is much easier to hold when shooting from above for a long time. This crank is perfect for my setup as it has multiple cold shoe mounts on the front. I can connect my audio recorder and microphone here. The entire block is removed in one motion, leaving my camera completely clear. I can't believe I stumbled across this product. So happy with that.
