Bought these 8 months ago for my breakfast table. We used felt pads glued to the bottom of the chair legs so they don't scratch the wooden floor. Our dog sheds copious amounts of hair and just stuck to the felt pads until the pads fell off leaving black streaks on the floor that were so difficult to wash off. These socks work sooooo well. They stay down. They pair equally well with the sculpted front legs and slightly oversized rear square legs. They blend into the black and are almost invisible unless people are pointed out (which of course I did). They are easy to put on and take off. They wash very well (all wool is removed and they look like new). They don't seem to have been worn at all and still look almost new after 8 months. I love them and will buy them again if I lose one in the wash or it wears out. I'm considering getting them for our brown dining room chairs, but we just don't use those chairs anymore (they don't even have a stick on the cushions).
