I gave this to my wife. It's a wide ring so be careful. It looks great in black but is also very heavy. It certainly draws attention, even more so than classic silver. Good quality. Not much to spoiler, but still. It appears to have been laser cut and stamped into shape. The surface is glossy powder coated. In my experience the coating will wear off over time depending on the quality and how well the surface has been prepared. Of course, it is also more prone to scratches and scrapes. But there's nothing that Scotch-Brite and spray paint can't fix. Hope this helps with the decision.
