The countertops in my bathroom are stained wood and therefore cannot be kept clean. I was looking at what I could do before the rebuild and this film looked like it could work. Dear reader, it worked. I cleaned and dried the wood as best I could and bought a pair of compasses and a 40 inch ruler to measure and outline the sink. The adhesive was very forgiving of my mistakes, even on the 6ft floor which I peeled off and reapplied multiple times. I also used some hard plastic flattening tools to get the air out. If your surface is uneven, you'll see it when you smooth the plastic. Tools I can't complain about. A few tips: choose target faces to be accurate when cutting, and allow 1/4-1/5 inch slop on all other faces. After making the first pass, place it and fold over the raised sides, then draw a line with a ruler and cut again. When the pages stick out over the edge of the counter, I've found that xacto trims them well.
