Silicone is much more hygienic than a washcloth or brush. Especially if you travel a lot, your washcloth will take a long time to air dry, but you can't pack it when it's wet. Don't worry about that! It dries very quickly because it does not absorb moisture. Never gets moldy. It also helps exfoliate skin without scratching it (unlike plastic loofah). I always feel very clean and fresh after using it. I find it mixes best and lathers the most with shower gel rather than soap as soap has a harder time gliding. It has a very solid construction. I've been using it for a few months now and I brush pretty hard but the bristles don't fall off and there aren't any breakages. I only removed the star because I wanted it to be designed for a more comfortable grip. Since I have small hands, it slips off my hands when lathering up. It's not a deal breaker because I can just hold it like a washcloth. I will definitely recommend to all my friends and will buy again!
