ready to step in. I have this because I run 3D design programs at home and they can be very CPU and memory intensive. Not much about the GPU. But it does more than what I need it for. When I start the 3D rendering, the CPU runs at 100% for the first few minutes and then crashes again. The GPU is usually almost idle, like 3-4%, and the memory is running at around 31% while I'm rendering. On my old PC with 8 GB memory, With a 2.2 processor and a Radeon R5 graphics card, it takes about an hour to get 20-30 ray trace passes. So, according to the same plan, 3 minutes 50 seconds, and he's already made 18 passes. IMPRESSIVE. SUPER FAST. If you're thinking about running games on it, go to YT and search for the Ryzen 54500u and there are tons of videos of people testing it in many games on other chips. This chip is usually built into laptops. When I saw them, I was totally blown away. The screen is gorgeous, love from edge to edge. I really don't like the boner, and I won't say I hate it, but it makes me think they didn't think it through - like, "Hey, let's just bend a pipe." Deal breaker for me. And some people like it. So no big deal. It's in a dark corner on a black table, on a black stand I built to tuck my keyboard underneath so I hardly notice it in the future. Set up was easy but I had everything secured and ready to go. If you're replacing a Lenovo they have a wizard that can wirelessly transfer settings/folders/files to the new one, but I chose to backup to an external drive and do it myself. It took me about 4 hours to restore everything to the old PC. I'm also glad it comes with an optical drive because I completely forgot that some of my programs were on a CD. It would be a big mistake not to get a PC with a CD player. Hard disk. VERY FAST. Especially at the start. I have about 180GB of files, most of which I had to transfer. So a 512GB SSD is not enough for me, but I also ordered a 2TB external WD drive which works great with this PC and can store files on this drive. $65 here at Revain. Most people will have enough SSD for years to come. Comes with Lenovo malware which I removed from the start. A few other thoughts - it comes in a HUGE outer box, well packaged and requires a signature so I sent it to my work. So remember that you have to register beforehand. I just love it. Take it! Great price and good computer. If you have any questions, just comment and I'll answer. Most people will have enough SSD for years to come. Comes with Lenovo malware which I removed from the start.
