I love this thing. I've always wanted a plasma ball since I was a kid and I don't really know if they were super expensive back then or just super expensive for a kid, but I've never had one until now. I remember when I was young my PhD uncle got one at the White Elephant Christmas party and was very jealous and a little upset. As those rich doctors thought, "Oh, I'm going to buy this plasma ball for $300 as a gift for the white elephant." It's going to be a "fun gag gift" and I'd do anything to get it. Miniature version but it makes me happy and a little less offended. Oh, and if you buy it and run it on battery you just know it's going to be It only reaches full potential when plugged in. So if you're a little underwhelmed that you've only used it on AAA batteries, plug it into a USB cable and watch it reach its full potential.
