💡 RioRand USB Plasma Ball Lamp Light with Battery Option, 4''X4''X6'' Review

It seems this thing is going to put on a pathetic light show considering it's USB. However, this is not the case. It works well, plasma streams are visible even in a bright room. Bought this for a friend's birthday (along with some other "awesome" items for a "box of awesome stuff"). I was surprised at how well it worked, especially for the price. This is a wonderful prize for pretending to be the wizard of the house.

My son saw overpriced versions of these in the gift shop at one of the science centers we visited over the summer. I wouldn't let him get one then because I figured it wouldn't be used for long. I was right. I gave this to him for his birthday and he was very happy and it works very well. He didn't come with a wart on the wall so be prepared. I bought one of these plasma ball lights for my desk. I plugged it into a USB port, but it also runs on batteries. They have always fascinated me and still do. You can't complain about the price. My only complaint is that the keys don't work properly if it's too close to the computer keyboard. Keystrokes are skipped or sometimes random letters appear without pressing them.
