I needed to find a good dog backpack big enough and comfortable for my aging chihuahua terrier mix. My dog needs medication quite often, so I often have to be near him while taking it. Harley weighs 8 pounds and is almost 12 years old. He really enjoyed the time and the new adventures in his backpack. We tried this two days in a row. We spent hours walking around the market and town square and I easily let him stretch his legs and potty! It was very easy to get in and out of. We also used a backpack for a day hike and it held up great! I think I've found the perfect backpack that fits our needs. It has worked great for all of our activities and I think Harley really enjoyed it. The backpack is durable and looks the same as the blue color in the photos. Side pockets and front pocket are great for dog gear. I love the adjustable shoulder straps and waist belt for added comfort. 4 stars - I ordered a size Large for my 8 lb dog (based on the size and weight chart) and I have a feeling it could also fit an XL, maybe even with more sleeping space. It fits L but has a long body so I think XL might fit better. We will definitely use this backpack again and again as it really exceeded all my expectations. FYI: This backpack is NOT suitable for large or heavy dog breeds! The best for the little ones!
