watch the wind for electronics

I bought this unit for my Class A van to replace an old Winegard. Installation was a bit tricky as I had to install a steel spot to mount the magnet base. After the installation is complete, I need to connect the amp to the USB port next to the TV. It took a while but everything fell into place and the device took really great pictures without having to walk or adjust direction like you would with a vineyard. everything took place in Callispell, Montana. I then drove the pickup truck to my daughter's home in Corama, Massachusetts, near Glacier Nat Park. The old wingguard gave me 2 channels at home, but this device gave 0 channels. Come on, next to the subway was even better. On my way home to Idaho on US2 towards Libby, I was driving at 60 mph in a headwind of about 10-15. an hour later I heard a rumble on the roof - stopped and checked the roof to find the wind had lifted the antenna off the panel and snapped the cable - blown by the WIND. The company's instructions never specified additional brackets or lashings. I find that unacceptable. If wind is an issue, additional mounts should be specified in the instructions.
