My son's original Toshiba Satellite laptop battery stopped charging after 7 years and I bought this battery to replace it to replace. It was delivered quickly and is a great replacement for the price, while buying a brand new computer was another option. So far he's been using it for about 5 or 6 months, so he can take his laptop to class without always plugging it into an outlet. Pros: durability, alternative to a new computer, offers portability, approximately 3 hours of use after a full charge. Disadvantages: not yet perfect compatibility. The battery doesn't last as long as the computer "thinks" that it will show more battery than it actually has left and then quickly jump to almost zero battery remaining. TL; DR: It's a good replacement, but kind of like a spare tire. This allows you to use it for a while but is not an ideal solution.
