Review on 🔊 SAMSUNG HW-S40T 2.0 ch All-in-One Soundbar (2020) – Experience Enhanced Audio with Music Mode in Black by Chad Cross

Works great, but voice guidance is annoying. I connected the soundbar to my desktop and every time I turn on my desktop the narrator says "digital audio input" and it's SUPER LOUD! I can't find a way to turn off her voice and I can't control the volume. I even tried adjusting the volume on my computer before turning it off but to no avail. The sound is amazing, but of course you can't expect too much from a sub-$200 soundbar compared to those for $600 and up. Another thing I don't like is that the settings don't show up on my monitor. So when I use the remote, I just listen to the voice guidance until I get the settings right. Speaking of remote control! This remote control is a big disadvantage! I still cannot open the back cover normally. I looked at videos and forums and it turned out that many people had the same problem. I warmed up the remote control with a stove (you can also use a hair dryer) and could not pull out the lid, I had to use a knife. Considering I used my nails, a razor and a knife for 2 hours to pry it open from the sides before heating it up, yes it's really frustrating! This is one of the dumbest projects ever and whoever designed it is just very unintelligent. So listen to me, after opening the lid, I installed 2 batteries and closed it. I tried again to open the lid, but I couldn't. I guess I'll have to use an alternate method and hopefully the battery will last a while. (Note: I used Duracell batteries in case the ones supplied don't last long - might save me some frustration) Update: Voice guidance/speaker volume is controlled by the soundbar remote. Therefore, BEFORE turning off the soundbar, make sure to turn down the volume. Otherwise, the next time you turn on the speaker/voice guidance, the volume will depend on the last setting (and can be very loud).
