In general, the stand is very durable. It has a removable cover on the arms for threading cables/wires. The hand movements are fairly firm but manageable. You really have to work at it to get it where you want it to be. I have a complaint. is that adjusting the movement of the monitor up or down is done with an Allen key. I really wish it had a handle if you could just set and lock the monitor at your desired eye level. The assembly was more difficult and longer than expected. I did not receive assembly instructions. It didn't make it into the box and wasn't published in the Revain product details. I just followed the picture. A laptop stand is impractical unless you want it to be too high or too low. I had to work by hand several times to get the desired result. I was able to place my docking station and laptop on it. last thing. Check your connections! Neither my dock nor my laptop had an HDMI (only 1, but the hole is covered by my dock) to connect my new monitors.
