I have a nine month old Labrador Husky mix. He loves the water and with this life jacket you can take him to the beach. The life jacket is durable and effective in keeping your pet afloat. My dog likes to chew on things, but this jacket is constructed in a way that makes it difficult for him to reach the straps. The jacket has a quirky fish scale design. There is one strap that goes under the stomach and another that goes through the chest. I ordered XXL but probably had to go down at least one size. However, XXL is effective on my dog. My dog is about 70 pounds and he's still growing so maybe he'll be stuffing some more in his jacket soon. Your pets are part of your family and can get excited around water and swim to the point of exhaustion.
