Works with old records!

I have a collection of my grandfather's old shellac records that I really want to listen to to get to know him through his record collection. These records have been sitting in an attic down south for 25 years, so they're not in the best condition, and I've never used a turntable. This player was very easy to learn and plays these recordings brilliantly. ! All I've tried so far has been a 78rpm record so I can't speak to other speeds/how it sounds on newer records but so far I've been very impressed with it. Its portability is also very good, we have already taken it to our parents so they can listen to the collection too! The downsides so far are that hitchhiking isn't the best. There is some distance going into the plate, so if you have more plates you need to turn autostop off. The downside to this is that (as I've found) there's no way to stop the player from spinning in any other way. So when you reach the end of the recording, you have to autostop again to change the recording or fight back. Another downside is that the type of material used on the outside looks very nice but looks like a cheap vinyl material that tears easily, which seems like an odd choice for a machine advertised as portable.

Pros
  • ♪PORTS AND SPEAKERS♪ Ability to use USB and SD card to listen to digital music. FM radio to get the latest news. Built-in 2 dynamic stereo speakers provide real vinyl sound.
Cons
  • No
