Review on Spike Power Sports YXZ Fender Flares for Enhanced Performance by Simo Ramsey

Was a little skeptical about buying this or not after reading some of the reviews but some were glad I did! After my first run I was told that they are essential on any YXZ to keep the tires from getting caught in the mud front and rear, either in the cockpit or on the bike's rear air vents. I've run 600km in varied terrain, from mud to deep water and rocky gravel roads, paved trails and dirt roads, and they've worked to completely eliminate or reduce anything tire related, from cockpit hits or Landings all the way to the rear air vents ! As mentioned, due to shipping they are almost completely flat, so I used a heat gun and my vise to slowly heat up the plastic and exaggerated the included flex lines until they matched the lines of my car's body, using the tallest one screw fastened. on the front fender first and make sure I have enough flex to fit snugly on the standard fender. The first wing took me about 1 hour, then the second front wing only 20 minutes, now I know what to do. The backend literally took 10 minutes for both of them, so no worries! I am very happy with them as is my wife who is used to being covered in big lumps of mud when getting in and out of muddy holes or puddles we come across on the trails. My M1 Evils are sometimes gross and now she enjoys spending much more time together in SxS. Costs money. Now the YXZ's body lines resemble a stealth bomber! Hope that helps!
