heavy plastic. - Bodywork

Purchase a heat gun for bending before installation. Bend the tips at the front or they will bang, especially when reversing. They stop a lot of dirt. The Yxz's cabin attracts dirt.

good for money

As described. The fit could have been better, but a little warmth and some flex made it possible. The time you spend on installation is important. I haven't ridden since installing it. Hope to test soon.

Great addition for YXZ

Have seen negative reviews about the fit. Very glad I bought it anyway. Fit amazingly easy to install. It is recommended to use clips to hold it in place during installation. Rest assured that enough screws are included and will last. Installs in less than 1 hour.

poor design, doesn't fit $1000 2017 yxz.

Poor design, won't fit 2017 yxz 1000 costs a penny, could work better if you cut the hard plastic in the design and close it up. not the best way to keep track of the yxz body without putting hard stress on the bolts, im sure a bit of hard driving and they will loosen and send them back.

You'll look and fit as good as you try.

If using a heat gun to change their shape from the packaging they come in. And they prevent a lot of water and dirt from getting on the windshield. On the other hand, if you just try to put them on in 5 minutes, they will look terrible.

Good value for money. Works very well.

Addendum: Definitely worth the time, effort and expense. Compared to the outside, very little has changed on the inside. Fit and finish are excellent. It took a few minutes to adjust the front end. I poured hot water over the pleats and held them in shape until they cooled. Once they were installed I used a heat gun to complete the fit. Trying to drill inside out is not an option, so I used the old sheet metal trick to transfer where the holes are on the extension. I attached a piece of paper…

Was a little skeptical about buying this or not after reading some of the reviews but some were glad I did! After my first run I was told that they are essential on any YXZ to keep the tires from getting caught in the mud front and rear, either in the cockpit or on the bike's rear air vents. I've run 600km in varied terrain, from mud to deep water and rocky gravel roads, paved trails and dirt roads, and they've worked to completely eliminate or reduce anything tire related, from cockpit hits or
