Review on Power KC5578 36 Truck Brake Calipers by Patrick Myers

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Pig Lipstick Short Life

Bought these almost 8 years ago for a 2000 f350 with 7.3 they have worked flawlessly for years and I am very happy with them. Fast forward to May 2021. I have a 2011 f250 6.2 CCLB and I bought the same brakes for it as before because I had good experiences, does that seem logical? Should have listened to the feedback as quality control has failed. The rotors looked slightly warped as if not fully machined at the factory, the creases looked normal but the pad particles flaked off just by rubbing with your fingers. As for the caliper, that's another story, the boots were no longer attached to the caliper which I remember was in the previous set I bought. The boots were not lubricated with anything beforehand to keep them from rotting and drying out, were the guide pins sticky? This was a bit odd for me for something that needs to slide smoothly. I thought I would clean and dry test everything to make sure it works and after a good cleaning and lubrication it works properly. . I check my front brakes and I see nothing and they are not giving off any unusual heat. When you get to the back, my rear passenger side is so hot I can feel my head fly a foot away. it was cooler here and I'm sure the low temperatures only prolonged the problem and left it cool enough unnoticed. directions. Buy from a Ford, or at least Napa, because those calipers come with Autozone or advanced freshly restored repainted bullshit. The rotors looked good but I can't tell because of the smoked rotor and pads. If possible I would give a negative rating.
