My wife has dementia and had been wearing a red robe every night for years. As her issues progressed, her robe was wearing out, plus she had gained weight and outgrown it. If you've ever dealt with a family member with dementia, you know that they sometimes don't take kindly to change. I took a chance on this robe, and although it was a darker shade of red than I had hoped, she took to it immediately. I have now thrown out her old robe and she seems very happy with this one. I'm very happy with it, too. It's very soft and cozy. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it, because of the possibility that she could reject it, so I'm very happy with the quality/price factor! It's only been washed once, so I can't attest to how it will hold up in the laundry over time.
