Runs smaller than recommended

I bought these for my 4 year old a while ago but until now we haven't had a frosty day to try them on. While I can't test these for long-term use, I can tell you: the first thing that struck me is that they fit nicely in my daughter's size 8 snow boots (remember, my daughter is 4, so is size 8 smaller, not smaller size). It's very difficult to find kid-sized ice grips; even fewer - so small that they fit her shoe size. I also liked that they stayed on her the whole time she wore them (about an hour or so, maybe longer). I was afraid that if she walked/played with them, they would fall like the others, but that didn't happen. They really work! My daughter has some other ice grips (with spiral bottoms) that she slides into (the same ones don't help my son to slide), I think because they don't weigh enough for the ice grips to dig into the ice? Anyway, I was afraid I would run into the same problems with these ice grips, but she was able to walk without slipping. One more thing to know: The rubber is gelatinous, so it's easy to slip over the boot (she wasn't wearing them). this time on herself, but with practice I'm sure she can do it herself). The description recommends EUR size 26-35, which can be converted to US size 9.5-2. They fit my daughter's size 8 boots (similar design to the Sorel Jeanne d'Arctic) and they hold up great so I think they fit into bulky size 7 boots with no problem. I also tried them on my 7 year old boots (size 1) and they fit but felt too tight for that size. Just seeing the tight fit of a size 1 boot, I don't think it will fit in a size 2 boot unless it's welly thin. but then again I haven't tried it on a size 2. So far I love everything about them and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs ice cream sticks for young children. I hope we can get a lot of use out of it so that I can recommend them to others.
