These pads are very good value for money. I was a bit disappointed with the size of the elbow pads. The bottom strap fits a small forearm well, but the top elbow strap was quite loose, still in contact even with a little velcro - nothing to fix with a little stitching but still a little annoying. Overall, the plastic armor is surprisingly strong and the padding adequate, although the material feels a bit cheap. My son is almost six and doesn't complain about comfort and we don't have any chafing issues but we live in a hot climate and we'll see what happens in the summer when he wears shorts. The wrist straps aren't as stretchy as the elbow and knee pads, but perhaps that's for the best. I would not recommend this set for children over 8 years old. Aside from that one volume, it's perfect for the average 6-year-old. The price couldn't be better and I'm glad I bought them. I hope the company will have larger sets when my son outgrows these pads.
