Review on Parmida Dimmable LED Ultra Thin Downlight by Bob Souza

We bought 12 packs of Soft White first. Aside from trying to route cables through tight spaces (nothing to do with the product), installation was very easy. Junction boxes and built-in connectors worked great. There was a box that went in four wires and we had to use wire nuts and that box was a little difficult to fit everything into a junction box but the rest fit comfortably. Some things to watch out for: the boxes are easy to open, we ended up wrapping the boxes with tape to make sure they don't pop open once we place them. Also, cutouts have no wire guards. You must purchase them separately. The biggest problem we have is that 3000,000 "soft white" is not 3,000,000 but much closer to 5,000,000. Until I ordered 2700 and replaced each bulb, there was a very noticeable color difference compared to the 3000,000 bulbs (other brands) we have in our side rooms. The nice thing is that it was very easy to change the light. Also pay attention. The headlights and moldings are quite small. It was my fault I didn't pay attention to the dimensions, for some reason I was expecting the fixture to be 4 inches in diameter and the finish to be much larger. That being said, the smaller footprint looks fantastic on our wood ceiling. Another note: these lights are very bright so you will almost certainly want to use them with a dimmer. Overall I am very happy with these lights.
