Review on Natural Bamboo Double Layer Large Bread Box for Kitchen Counter - Spacious Wooden Bread Storage Bin with High Capacity by Abby Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The bread is stale. in kitchen and dining room

Looks good and keeps bread but doesn't keep it fresh. I bought it to use as a traditional bread box, you don't need to wrap the bread in plastic or anything but the box itself works like a packet with the right airflow. So I tested it and was frustrated. On the first day I put some rolls from the store, after 2 days they became rock hard. Cover 3 of the 5 holes in the bottom with masking tape to see if this can help the bread go stale. Granted, it doesn't get stale as quickly as bread on the counter, but it definitely dries out within a day or two and I won't be eating it anytime soon (testing with individual slices of bread for now). Now I've taped off all 5 holes on the bottom shelf and we'll see if that gets any better or if the wood material itself is drying out the bread. Other than that, I guess I just spent a bunch of money on a bread rack to use in my microwave if I don't want to look at the bread.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
