This filter system definitely does its job! Filter right after 8 weeks of use. Next time I will change it in 5-6 weeks as it is clearly expired. If I had been more careful I would have changed it sooner as I have had a lower shower pressure for the past few weeks and this is an indication that it is time to replace the filter cartridge. The filter has a transparent viewing platform at the bottom of the device where you can see the cartridge, but this transparent part is brown, making it difficult to see how dirty the cartridge is. It doesn't matter as the water pressure will drop when it's time to change. The photos of the new cartridge and the cartridge with 8 weeks of use show that this filter does the job. The used cartridge is so slimy! Replacing the cartridges is also easy and cheap to replace, so overall we are very happy with this product.
