My daughter was a little late. And absolutely everything goes in her mouth! So I wanted to have some things for her to explore with her mouth that wouldn't hurt her. Not only does this keep her interested, but it makes it easy for her to stick with it. This is a great element for learning to turn hands off. That means grabbing with one hand and releasing with the other. Immediately started shaking and sounding amused. I will definitely buy it again and recommend it to all parents. By the way, my daughter had a full mouthful of teeth before she was six months old. It doesn't seem to hurt her to chew or suck. So far not a single piece has broken off.
