Amazing Dual Camera DVR

Two cameras are better than one. This makes the Vantrue N2S 4K dashcam unique. I love the dual recording feature, especially when both channels are capped at 1440p. This is enough, and with sufficient lighting, a clear video is obtained. WDR also helps a lot with high-contrast scenes. It manages to tone down the highlights for a more neutral exposure throughout the scene - you can see how WDR works best when the sun is in front of the camera. The rear camera has a wide viewing angle that easily captures both front and rear passengers. It also helps that the black and white night vision kicks in when it gets dark. The video quality of the selfie camera is also surprisingly good. Parking mode is a great tool to keep an eye on your car. However, I would like it to have its own built-in battery because in order to use parking mode, you need to power the Vantrue N2S 4K dash cam externally when you turn off your car. If you don't, it will simply lose performance and not work. One downside is its low-light performance. The footage becomes very soft and grainy, making it almost impossible to see the number plates of the cars in front of me with the camera. It is not a problem if there is no light. At least the frame rate seems to be stable. Finally, I wish it had some sort of Wi-Fi functionality with the app, because to view the footage (other than the dash cam itself) you have to remove the microSD card and view it on a computer. For the price I was hoping there would be some sort of app integration.

Cons
  • Low Repairability
