Excellent, compact and plays NTSC and PAL DVDs as advertised!
Good little DVD player. Does everything that is promised in the description. What a joy to see all my PAL DVDs again! My film tastes are a bit eclectic and I find the NTSC film limitation a bit restrictive. I had an earlier version of this Philips DVD player which lasted almost 8 years. I was so happy to find this new lightweight and compact version. I can put my cable box, VCR and DVD player on the same shelf. The remote control could have been better (don't forget to read the instructions on how to view the timer - there is no visible timer window on the front of the unit) but overall I'm very happy with my purchase. For Japanese rock fans, this unit plays PAL DVDs that come with CDs!
