Best VRMs in this price range

This is a thick and well built motherboard. I chose this modem in part for its well-received VRMs at this price point and build quality. Installation is as easy as most motherboards, and there's enough space around the CPU to support many AIOs and water coolers. on the 5800x no tweaks or tweaks). So why 3 stars? Mine arrived with bent pins on the front 20-pin USB connector that I had to straighten. ALL system fan headers are located at the bottom of the motherboard. Get ready to buy fan extension cables. The chipset fan can be a bit noisy if it decides to take off during the boot process. If you want to control RGB, you'll need to install MSI's invasive Dragon Center software. Read the license agreement before you are allowed to install it and you have the most control over your data. OpenRGB and similar projects won't work with this motherboard, leaving you stuck with pulsing turned off or annoying. The actual component that controls MSI RGB, Mystic Light, used to be a separate program, but now MSI has bundled it into a control center package that forces you to use it. Best to install, adjust RGB and uninstall. A very good board with enough bugs (the Dragon Center software is the main culprit) to deduct a few stars. 3/5
