This chair does not recline nearly as much as advertised and the parts are cheap and flimsy. Every detail of this chair lends itself to the slightest pressure. Move a little in the chair by bending your elbows and arm outward. Extend the footrest, raise your legs and the bars will flex. If you're just sitting in a chair, your back will arch backward. I read the reviews but couldn't find any context for those who rated the chair low. Here's mine: 5ft 9in, 190 lbs. Not particularly active, but not very fat either. I don't overuse the things I buy and most things last a while. It feels like this chair will break within a month or the bar holding the back curve back. I didn't expect American build quality from this chair for obvious reasons. However, the build quality is so terrible that I feel fully entitled to return it less than 24 hours after receiving it. I would not recommend this chair for anything other than a child under 100 pounds. Anything that makes the components of the chair stand out more. I spent the extra money and ordered a much better chair.
