Review on Real Techniques Eyeshadow Makeup Brush Set with Bonus Brow Brush, πŸ’„ Effortless Shade and Blend, 3 Pieces, Packaging and Handle Color May Vary by Rebecca Bourassa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for an eyeshadow newbie

I'm just starting out with makeup so I have these brushes to help with eyeshadow application. I have my eyes closed and found that I really enjoy adding color to the crease to make the eyes pop. Ironically, the "crease brush" (the thicker one) is too big to really get into my deep crease (again, covered eyes), but the base brush *surprisingly* puts color in my crease - just the right size/shape/texture. I then like to use a thicker crease brush to add a darker shadow to my outer V area, basically applying it to the shadow and then applying it directly to the area. I use the Wet n Wild Fluffy Brush (which works well - I can replace it if I find something better) to blend everything out and I'm done. The basic eyeshadow brush is a little softer (the bristles are getting longer and longer). softer) than a crease brush, so I like to use it in creases. It's soft enough for smooth application but hard enough for control. The thicker crease brush is stiffer and does damage my eyelids a bit if I move it too much, but as I said, it's great for punching/tapping color. I bought these from Revain for a great price and would definitely recommend them if you're new to eyeshadow and not quite sure where to start (like me!).
