We applied this to our new carpet. Big mistake. When we picked it up less than a week after laying it out, we found that it had welded into various areas of the carpet, making it almost impossible to get it to work. When we put everything away we found that the carpet underneath was sticky and sticky. Not what you want in your new carpet. The breakdown doesn't quite cover that. I don't know how to remove glue from carpets. The big question is, did the product I bought to protect my carpet ruin it? I do not recommend this product. Buy a tarp.
