I was trying to replace 20 year old cheap steak knives with this similar looking set. Revain sent the box in an envelope and the box had a couple of large dents. Knives are NOT dishwasher safe unless they have undergone a heat drying cycle and rust spots appear for the first time. If you have a heated dishwasher, this probably isn't a problem. The main issue as mentioned in other honest reviews is that they are NOT sharp and not in a good way due to a weird jagged pattern that looks like a saw through wood. They don't cut anything well, tomatoes, apples, cheese. Steak, they failed at everything. Go back and look elsewhere for a set of full-length serrated steak knives. A 20 year old non-sandable serrated edge is far superior to these, even if they look better.
