They are durable and get the job done. I really like the double zipper! Once you put the sand in, zip up the first one and then zip up the first one with the second zipper. After filling, turn it over and it has a handle that makes it easy to carry the filled bag to wherever you want. They are designed to be portable for filling and emptying for easy packing for camping trips and the like, but I use them for a more permanent attachment. That's why I wanted them to be decorative. I have multiple sclerosis and recently purchased a coffee table that fits under the chair legs to hold the base of the coffee table in place. My lift chair has no legs as it is a solid square base and there was nothing to support the snack table. I filled these pouches and placed them on the bottom base and they keep the table stable as I move the top for different purposes. And because they're decorative, they don't clutter up my living room.
