I usually wear a large size so I ordered Large/Extra Large. When trying on, it turned out that the bathrobe was large and allowed to sit down. The sleeves were about an inch long. After washing, the sleeves shrank about two inches and reached almost to the wrist. The robe itself is still large, with plenty of room. The flannel is probably a standard weight, about the same as a shirt. There are two belt loops on each side of the robe, so you can adjust the height of the belt. This should be a standard feature of any decent dressing gown. One of the hallmarks of "class" is that the tag is attached to the robe tag with string and a safety pin. This is something I've never encountered.
