I was a big fan of Brother printers until I bought this one. We print medium volume and I bought this unit as an upgrade due to print life, ink life etc but it has only caused trouble. Let's start with the biggest problem - the pauses between each sheet when loading range from 2.45 seconds to 4 minutes between prints. We've searched the web for help and all that's ever been mentioned is disabling the "Auto" feature, but that doesn't seem to do anything. All drivers are up to date, my machine is completely up to date. Nothing will solve this problem. Brother support is missing. The ink on this bad boy lasted 50 pages for the blue, maybe 100 for the rest of the cartridges. We've been in a bind and had to use this printer for the past few weeks so we're leaving Brother behind. Smaller printers have been pretty resilient in the past, but our last one just blew up.
