Review on The Sourcery by Leonard Babers

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The Sourcery is a UK based company that offers a range of services to recruiters.

The Sourcery was launched in April 2013. At launch, they offered two levels of service; Basic and Premium. This week they announced a third tier called Gold. As yet, the pricing structure has not been published. Their website states "We'll provide everything you need to get started." But their FAQ page says that there are three tiers of services - Basic, Premium and Gold. So, I'm assuming that Gold is the top tier. If that's correct, then the new tiers appear to represent a change in focus from offering a generalist recruitment tool to providing a specific niche solution. In other words, if you're looking for a candidate for your software development team, then The Sourcery might be worth considering. If you're looking for candidates for a particular project, then they may well be worth considering.

Pros
  • However, to make sure that people find what they want, the Sourcery offers three tiers of paid subscriptions that cover different features (and the cost of each tier)
  • Provides a good range of candidate matching criteria that should help you attract top talent.
Cons
  • The company hasn't been around long enough to prove its reliability or stability
  • It would be interesting to know how many candidates they've placed for clients since the company was founded.
