I paid $10 plus $4 shipping. The product description is accurate, the reality is that without a 6 year old who could have fun assembling this item as a parent-child bonding activity, it's a pain. You have to be careful not to tear the letters because the perforation that holds the letters in outline is not very deep. You will spend too much time carefully separating each letter from the card on which it was stamped. Hanging the letters on string is easy and gives you some leeway in how you separate the words and how much string you leave on each end of the string to hang them. In the end it works, looks good, if you're in a hurry to set it up, it takes longer than you hoped.
